Benny Rodrigues, a Rotterdam native with Portuguese heritage, has rapidly made a name for himself among the elite Dutch DJs. Known for his mastery in blending funk into his sets, Benny excels in filling dance floors and energizing crowds. His signature sound is a groovy and funky (deep) tech-house blend, enriched with elements of Detroit, minimal, and acid influences. However, Benny is also adept at switching gears, delivering powerful and enjoyable techno sets that are notably accessible and engaging.

Benny has graced the turntables at all the major clubs and festivals across the Netherlands, showcasing his talent. Internationally, he has spread his musical influence globally, with performances at notable venues like Opium Garden in Miami, Hao Man 17 in Jerusalem, and as a resident DJ for Chris Liebing’s Spinclub night at Space and Privilege in Ibiza. His presence was also felt in Antwerp, where he held a three-year Saturday night residency at the renowned Belgian superclub, Cafe d’Anvers. Additionally, Benny has been a welcome guest at Detroit’s Electronic Music Festival (Movement/Fuse-in) in 2005 and 2006, invited by techno legends Derrick May and Kevin Saunderson.

Currently, Benny is focusing more on music production, aiming to reflect his unique sound and share his musical vision with a global audience. With upcoming releases on Darren Emerson’s (formerly of Underworld) Underwater Records and other exciting projects, Benny Rodrigues is taking significant steps to further his influence in the music world.
