Track of the Week: Will Clarke feat. Rhea – Spandex

Bristolian DJ and producer Will Clarke has been causing a stir with his upfront house productions that are influenced by the revered bass forward sound that comes of his hometown. Here he debuts on Defected with ‘Spandex’ which features the vocals of lead lady Rhea. While ‘Spandex’ doesn’t take itself too seriously, its melodic bassline, decisive 808 claps and Rhea’s spoken-vocal-chant shape this into a floor focused 4/4 house record. There is no pre-set formula that makes up the track. ’Spandex’ has an unprecedented sound and catchy rhythm that is bound to turn heads, increase the stamina on dancefloors, and energize the house music scene of 2015. ‘Spandex’ is out 14th September 2015.
